A Plea for Seasonal Content

Jorb and Loftar: Do not get your heads too far up your object-controlled asses right now. Start pushing weekly seasonal content before the harsher/boring seasons hit

Yes, what is some example of seasonal content the men will like to see?

Seasonal crops, cave crops for off-season would be a good start.

Seasonal animals/monsters, perhaps bigger versions with a lower spawn-rate than usual boars etc. Yetis on mountains, etc.

Season-specific questing without requiring seasonal-overlap/prep because nobody wants to store 4 of every single quest item before the seasons change JORBO!

More uses for snow. Igloos that decay as the seasons change, fishing lodges for ice fishing, skates?

There is tons of shit that could be added for each season that could keep people engaged. I thought for 30 seconds max to come up with what I just posted ^^
It's discouraging to see how seasons were shoehorned in without any backtracking to tidy it up and flesh it out

Winter is going to be a death sentence for this world if nothing is added to keep it engaging.

I haven't played through it myself, but I've heard a lot of stories about winter.

I think the biggest problem I've heard about is the game encouraging specialization (I am a farmer, I am a forager, etc) and then stripping all of that gameplay out. How do we make content for players that have previously specialized into content that becomes unavailable for 2 weeks at a time? Haven is not the kind of game you take a couple week breaks from, the type of player here forced to not play for 2 weeks will often move on to other games. You could argue that these people should diversify their playstyle (say go questing or start mining) but that's already an option and people apparently don't like it.

Just a thought point I guess, I don't have enough experience to be definitive on it.
Lucky: haven is so quirky
Lucky: can be so ugly, can be so heartwarming

The problem with winter is that game looks terrible and contrast hurts my eyes, thats why I won't play a second in winter.

Or maybe spend some effort in rebalancing existing things instead of adding new shit!

Just adjust your monitor if the contrast is that bad.

They have an equal chance of creating balance by adding shit then they do going back and attempting to rebalance stuff.
