Credo quests not reflecting biomes/seasons

Credo quests should reflect the surrounding biomes unless they are intentionally set up to take you real far away like nomad does. Forager quests were implemented back when there wasn't 99 biomes and 99 tree types and this world with the limited amount of biomes on the starting continent it's quite noticable that even something as simple as forager can be quite painful (and I did both nomad and cave hermit last world on one character).

Maybe re-visit your biomes and compare them with the quest pools so they actually make sense. Like not being able to find a mole on most of the starting continent is kind of weird. And super confusing for people who have no clue how ridiculous the quest system can be.

Some of my favorite quests this world that I had to skip repeatedly:
- catch a mole (5 hr boat ride to the closest biome I've seen them at)
- pick <tree_type> bough (couldn't even figure out if they grow on the starting continent)
- pick/eat bay bolete/parasol mushroom

Give some more love to the credo quests and make them a bit smarter like nomad :)
Everytime I find something that doesn't make sense I can almost see Jorb grinning and mumbling to himself: "working as intended."

You're not wrong about seasonal crap though.

Conspiracy theory: Most endgame players who hate credos primarily dislike them because they can't be botted.

Number of biomes hasn't really changed since questing, and later credos, were introduced ~3 years ago. Yes, number of trees have gone up, but there was enough variety then that the number added isn't very significant.

and this world with the limited amount of biomes on the starting continent it's quite noticable that even something as simple as forager can be quite painful (and I did both nomad and cave hermit last world on one character).

This is the design of the world generator. It's been this way for several worlds now. Certain regions of the map are heavy with a small selection of biomes and see almost none of others. I don't really care for it myself, but it wasn't as big an issue until oceans were added last world. A couple of the islands/continents were just screwed as they were big enough to support a sizeable player base, but not large enough to see a wide variety of biome diversity.

Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

Meh, call me when there is a solution and not just "we know about the issue."

Conspiracy theory: RNG is not fun. Most of the ingredients or items required can in fact be botted, especially the horrible global pool requested items. You can even use simple math with scripts to find the location of quest givers and decide if it's worth your time to boat/run all the way to them

"Pick/eat strawberries" during winter feels like a Russian fairy tail.
