New Food: Dried meat/Jerky

Like drying fish on the racks, can we add beef jerky/dried meat to the game by making meat dryable on the racks. Make it they increase FEP by a small bonus similar to spitroasting meat or drying fish.

Unless it's better than spitroasted meat, nobody will touch it. If it is, nobody will then use the spitroast (except for kebab rolls, anyway).
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

that doesn't necessarily mean it shouldn't exist.

what if dried meat had the same FEP as roasted meat, but half hunger. that way if hunger is an issue for you, it would be worth waiting however long for meat on the drying rack.

Yeah, you could use this style of argument against adding literally anything to the game.

That's not true though, both spitroast and dried fish are good. There needs to be another step in preserving it, but I'm down for more food :)

People still spitroast and dry fish, why wouldn't it work for meat?

Season the meat with salt from seawater. We'll get finally a use for that and JLo gets their loved tedium of extracting salt from seawater.

I mean I would imagine people would use both because assuming they added it, it would take time to dry like fish does.

Daily reminder that there are like 100k+ food recipes and more feature creep actively makes the game worse/harder to balance. The people who want variety for variety's sake could be appeased in other ways, and the people who care about efficiency shouldn't need to become excel/data entry heroes to achieve their goals.

If more food is add, my village will hire more PhD candidate to research foods. It is not problem I think.
