There are some repices that are clearly inferior to others. Nearly all in the garden greens category (except pumpkin stew) and most of the sausages aswell and many others scattered across the other categories. Most of the time i just cycling trough 5 or 6 repices never touching the rest. There is a simple pattern that determines if repice is good or bad:
-Is it possible to put rare ingridients in it (cave lantern, cachalot meat, driftkelp etc.)?
-Is it possible to add spice?
-How many different stats it gives?
Repices like red shed salad or bear salami are just awful. Basic FEP, variety of stats they give, max stat%, hunger- they suck at everything. In general older repices that i remember since H&H1 are outdated and are desperate to update.
What i suggest:
-Add spice or salad greens to every sausage repice, allowing more variety (assuming there would be at least one great variant for every repice) and boosing FEP/hunger with pepper and other spices.
-Reduce variety of stats that foods from garden greens category provides make it more stat-specific snacks like carrot cake for example.
These are relatively easy to do changes that will improve cooking a lot. Ofc there is still a lot can be done with cooking to make it better but i suppose balancing repices like autumn steak with huge ingridient variation would take hour and hours of work.
