Add a way to get wax in the winter

Candleberries don't spawn and beehives are frozen

Pretty much the only activity that isn't really affected by the winter is mining and it's not possible to go down to lower levels without hard leather.

Winter wax:tm: please

This could be a solution perhaps?

Tallow would be another solution. Not sure if it would be OP or not... depends on the quantity of animal fat needed to make it.

From a couple of websites I looked at for "homesteading" and general primitive type living, as long as you use the cuts of fat and don't have much gristle and meat in it, you get a lot of tallow and little other byproduct.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

Pine Tar would also work well, would need a new type of tar kiln to get it. One used to make the stick Pine Tar with charcoal as an added bonus product.

This would be another great use for all those animal fats. Would really love to see something like this. +1

You are right whales are a source for wax, but they aren't exactly easy to kill or farmable (at least not practically farmable anyways).
