Add snow to the tops of roofs in winter

Postby Zyean » Thu Apr 09, 2020 3:53 pm

Could be a nice aesthetic addition to add snow covering the tops of roofs/stone towers, etc, maybe icicles hanging off the side or something?

That's why the slant is calculated based on the amount of snow received. You'll notice the steep slope of Nordic buildings, but the relatively shallow incline of Mediterranean housing. Some areas that receive really heavy snow need roofs shoveled in the winter despite a steep slope.

Moderation statement: identical threads merged... really, posting the exact same idea within a couple hours of each other. That's literally in the rules--"do a search before you post a new idea."

Hi. Would you like to be the first victim of the NEW and IMPROVED moderation rules where they are hard enforced? I'm sure we can quickly adjust things so that people quit posting things all together. I've already clearly stated multiple times in the last couple of days that if I'm going to make judgement on who is posting what, everyone is going to get judged for violating the rules. I can be a much harder ass than Granger ever was if people want to push it, as I've been as this kind of stuff for 30 years now.

Sure, maybe they are totally and completely shit posts, but are you the person that gets to make that ultimate judgement? No. it's your opinion. Surprisingly, some of them are interesting ideas, even if they'll never make it into the game. Maybe if you had browsed through them, you'd have realized that.

In the future, please follow the rules and take moderation discussions to the proper thread. viewtopic.php?f=39&t=40568

We have a plan to auto-generate oversnow meshes for all objects.
