I'd like to hear from the community if the following item is something you would want (and use) or not.
"Kin Book" [or a better name]
An item that holds the knowledge of multiple kins, allowing you to describe several people at once.
How it works:
Similarly to how parchment works, it would allow you to describe several people (I'm thinking 20 to 50) on it. Anyone who reads it will memorise all the people in the book, just like they would with a bunch of descriptions on parchment.
As long as there are empty pages, you should be able to add kins to it.
It would possibly work the with memorised-only characters too.
Recipe:
It would certainly involve parchment, either leather or hardened leather (for the cover), possibly pigment. Maybe a beautiful dream?
Benefits:
- It would speed up the process of describing multiple kins.
- It would be a great tool to exchange with neighbours: you could give them a book containing descriptions of all of your villagers, making it easier too neighbours to recognise each others (including alts and those who never get out of the palisade).
- It would probably make more people use the describe ability, and allow for village-specific or topic-specific books (eg. "Friends", "Dangerous folks", and so on).
- It would save a lot of cupboard space to those who actually use parchments to keep an archive.
I believe currently too few people use descriptions and parchments, mostly because of the time it requires to exchange infos about multiple people.
Any thoughts?
