Make whirlpools not freeze, or be visible under ice

The mechanics of digging out whirlpools seem unnecessarily random/dangerous(to my pickaxe yielding alt), and title seems like the easiest fix

Or a better solution: Make them not appear if you dig them out. And problem is solved.

obvious solution is for wherlpools to respawn each spring

This would be interesting.
Although whirlpools are probably caused by shapes of land so it wouldn't really be logical.
