Good points. Thanks.

First of all. I take offence on you implying I'm a liar. Rude.
But, let me clear it up a bit. There are many ways to play this game. Some people like to be very efficient and, for example, put their animals in 2x3 enclosures.
I, however, like to try to get the feel of the world in the age the game is based on. Do you know how valuable domesticated animals were in those times? I like to make space for my animals and try to make their living conditions even a little bit the same way I would make if I would be living in the H&H world. They are my friends with whom I have a mutual benefit with, not slaves. Of course, I could play the game taking advantage of every little mechanic to grow my quality levels or power but that just feels dull. It breaks the immersion, for me at least. I mean, do you know how laughable it was to see that in this world every player started by killing animals from their boats? To me it seemed cowardly.
For your information, in addition to the pasture spacing, I also play this game in a way that I abstain from killing anything. I don't want to base my advancement on the pools of blood shed from animals. All bones and hide I gather are all from "roadkills". Theres some challenge for you to 'skip', buddy.
Do you think you can manage to see my view of playing this game? There ARE multiple ways to play it. I recommend to at least entertain the idea. You might see something you did not see previously.
Now, if we can get back to my point, I was suggesting that the means to get rennet other than from sucklings maw's would be nerfed in some way. I proposed that the quality of the rennet could be capped in some way. Other disadvantage could be that you would need vast amounts of plants to make rennet. So much that it would not be viable to gather so many plants compared to sucklings maw's. Only the most diligent and deranged hermits could do it. Or pot farmers.
Nettle was just an example as it has been used in the real world to make rennet.
The devs could introduce an other, new plant, not yet implemented in the game that would be harder to see / more scarce. Mallow, caper?
