garden pots could be better

Postby bitza » Mon Apr 13, 2020 6:06 pm

i love the idea of planting blueberries, mushrooms, yarrow, etc but garden pots are such a pain in the ass that i rarely do it. what sucks about them is having to click the soil and water into the pot after each harvest.
that
garden pots should have room for enough soil and water for multiple uses. like a chicken coop, there could be a soil meter and water meter that is depleted after each harvest.

something like this:

That would make things more simple and easier I guess, but would be almost identical to tanning tubs which sounds boring.

Sounds boring? Are garden pots supposed to be fun?

I like the idea. The less tedium involved in these sort of tasks the better.

I like the idea of making mushroom logs tbh, that could be really nice. Especially if you're growing them in a cellar or cave.

I mean, I'm not against this idea and would be like QoL, but just that, sounds boring.

Try navigating a wheelbarrow around few lines of 2x9 GPots stacked box to box with stinging nettle or yarrow growing in them. That's a pixel-hunting minigame I never wanna repeat.
And that amount is not even enough to comfortably complete the Gardener credo.

Or maybe devs should get their bounding boxes shit together, eh?

Thank you for your great addition to this thread but the point that garden pots could be better (as in, growing a dandelion doesn't magically consume all the soil from a pot, if anything, it should adjust its quality) still stands.
