Moveable trellis

Postby Trifle » Tue Apr 14, 2020 2:21 pm

Just realised I forgot to stomp to dirt underneath a whole row of trellises, and I'm a bit annoyed at having to remove the whole row entirely just to have it match with the rest of the farm.
While it is my own mistake admittedly, it would be nice not having to use double the materials for it. Having trellises be movable with a shovel like bushes would be nice.

You don't have to plow under them! Trellis crops don't need to be on plowed terrain.
God I hope you see this message before you do that.

I think, from the post, that it is an aesthetics issue, not a need to do something that isn't necessary.

One of the things jorb mentioned about the bounding box rework was making some objects passable or allow for some different interactions, hopefully so that removing objects to pave, make into dirt, etc. won't be necessary in all cases. (Pretty sure trellis was one mentioned, but not seeing the post right away.)

It is indeed an aesthetics issue.
I'd forgotten about the mention of trellises in the bounding box updates, that would fix the problem I suppose.
Still, at times I find myself reworking the layout of the farm, and that's another point where movable trelli would be useful.

+1 to that idea. Dig up the trellis - put it on an eligible terrain, that's how that should work

I am once again rearranging my farm, and it's easier to just bump this thread rather than make a new one.
