Remove generic bats hitbox

Post by Nightdawg »

Hello, now that you're looking into hitboxes and whatnot, how about removing the hitbox of generic bats, making them like ants/bees/midges ?

Not the big dungeon ones, just the small ones (at least).
It's quite wrong that my entire line of sight/body gets blocked by a single small bat. I can understand that this should happen when getting surrounded and blocked by 6 giants in a bat cave.

While you are at it fix it where I can agro a bat while its in a tree. Its extremely hard to agro a bat while its in the middle of another hit box.

Just saw a bug report saying otherwise. And still weren't able to be aggroed. I'm sure it's a very rare case, as just crawling past them is enough for them to aggro half the time.

do the same with the hitbox of the bat itself too

why keep things more complicated when they don't have to be?

They can aggro us through the hitbox though, but we can't. So yeah, maybe fix this too :D
I mean, I can attack bats through cave walls anyway.

Bump
I would like to remind you that I can attack anything through thick cave walls, but a tiny bat blocks me entirely.
This is me not being able to attack anything when a bat is blocking my approach.
