B12, Cutblade, Halberd

this has been asked before, but i feel like it deserves its own topic..

Jorb you should make a Halberd weapon created from
boar spear + Hard leather + 6 Bars of steel

it should be on par with the b12, and cutblade.
possibly a little faster than cutblade with attacks but alil less damage
keep the armor pen and attack range the same as boar spear.

i mean doesnt this just make it the new meta? this doesnt change much other than look cool in hands.

I would love a lot of cool new weapons but every time someone suggests one it has to be top tier so it will probably be ignored.

There was a good thread with non-top tier weapons that got shut down recently. viewtopic.php?f=48&t=68019

viewtopic.php?f=48&t=48725 probably has something to do with it. "Devs are aware of the desire for more weapons" probably sums it up. We don't have very good balance of the combat system as is, and people keep asking for the system to be changed or improved or whatever. Adding more weapons before that just makes any changes to combat even more difficult to make right on top of that. Same can be said of dungeons and large animals that would need new AI.

Adding low-tier weapons won't affect the "balance" around combat though. They're literally just a stepping stone.

It's like saying the addition of wanderer's bindles might make the inventory system unbalanced; the latter being a legitimate concern voiced by jorb when people were suggesting adding more inventory expansion slots/items. But because bindles are strictly inferior to traveller's sacks, they have no impact.
