Realm buffs cost based on realm size

the main goal of that idea is to buff small realms and promoting establishing realms in mid-late game, so if you are filthy rich you can have your own realm and actually handle having buffs

as a good reasoning I would like to point out that its the realm authority objects that are spreading the buffs after all, so those should became more expensive as the realm grows
its pointless to make them more expensive when built
but it is absolutely logical to make them more expensive in maintenance as the realm grows

what do you think about the idea or removing auth drain on ream buff structures ? you could have all those buffs at no cost with zero expansions, but the more you expand, the more it costs you
so building one buff structure would add the maintenance cost to all of your cairns and seamarks, lets say by 5 auth ( subject to discussion )

so world could possibly look like this:

realm that have only its capitol, could handle full set of buffs, if they can manage getting the materials ofc
realm with 100 cairns would pay 500 auth per day for each buff structure ( that's decent discount to what we have now )
realm with 400 cairns would pay 2000 auth per buff

it would be nice to have more realms, even small ones, people grouping together and discovering this mechanics for themselves
presently it is super difficult to detach from realm if you are hermit or small village, you don't want to lose those buffs, but if you could have it at lower price you would probably not hesitate

more realms
more buffs
balance of power in terms of auth income / outcome
actual realm size management and picking strategical locations instead of swarming the map

haha wow that's rly dum

A fully buffed realm is worth like 1.5k USD in materials with current prices. If there were like 20 realms that shit would skyrocket. Anybody willing to put in the effort to get all that is sure as fuck not sharing it with anybody else unless they absolutely need to.

What you're asking for is the removal of realms, and the addition of village buffs. "You know what this game needs? A greater divide in quality/character growth/market control between autists and regular players."

Why are there so many realm related C&I threads this world? There were like none last world around this time.

you are proving my points, you for instance are the autist who enjois having monopolised market, I like challenges, plaing the game, making friends, foes, alliances and stuff, you cant really make those if you dont have fair chances in running realm ? I would be more than happy having a realm and couple of villages under it, communicating with them and having some hunts together or some trading deals, while you on the contrary are playing a mixture of RISK and Monopoly

You forgot AD spamming forums.. got them cost of realm cairns x3, cairns cannot be built on pclaim and prob some other patches tailored "for them" plus probably a few others I forgot.

game mechanics don't seem to allow it so developers must change it so people can destroy your work

Realm mechanics are pretty boring right now tbh. We got room for like 4 strong nations and you never really interact with your rulers beyond visiting their market. Maybe something to do with everyone spawning on one continent.

not at all, I think spawning everyone in one continent was nice prank, but after all it was super easy to get out of there, all you had to do was get yourself boat building fast and go trough vortex in dugout ( its 100% safe for 1 jump )

realm mechanics is not boring at all, its actually super interesting, and following my suggestion would give huge number of people some chances to explore that mechanics for themselves, the number of realm suggested topics is only mirroring the state of it, but this is definitely not the concept that should be entirely abandoned or reworked, few tweaks can balance things out.
