I don't have much experience in this game, but I've watched videos and clips and stories of criminals being caught. Usually the criminal gets killed, even for something like petty theft. I've seen a thread where someone put a bounty on a thief's head.
Please, people. We are not barbarians. We should have more civilized ways of dealing with criminals.
My idea is- Implement punishment. Once the criminal is KO, do the following: Cut off a thief's finger, or hand, giving them permanent debuffs. Burning murderers on the bonfire for a psyche debuff, will buff to anyone attending the event(or similar). And anything inbetween, like crucifixion, impalement, boiling, crushing, hanging(another use for rope!!), etc. Doing that would give LP to the ones doing the event, or attribute increases.
I got this idea when I read a thread about the church of satan recruiting members, and I thought "Hmm, would be good if we could burn the satanists on a bonfire like in the good old days of europe".
I don't know how the devs would implement it, all medieval punishments are way too graphic for a videogame. At least add stoning, like, come on. Why do I need a sling to throw stones instead of using my hands?
I think it's a good idea because it would add a pretty cool roleplaying element and encountering a criminal would mean much more than simply "spare or kill". What do you think?
