Animals Missing Combat Discoveries

Pretty much all of the newer animals don't give combat discoveries, and they should. A non-comprehensive list: anglers, wolves, cachalots, orcas, reindeer, eagles, owls, those other birds that you can aggro I forget the name of, trolls. Ermines probably don't have them, but they're only worth killing 1/6th of the time so I'm not sure.

+1 idk why the tedium of getting combat discoveries is still around one of the least enjoyable things to do early game.
Jorb: Go rub sticks, sprucecap.

Yep for cave louse, and neither do caverats or male wood grouse.

wild bees not having a small chance to teach sting is arguably a bit of a rip-off when you think about it.
