I agree, they are a waste of space and basically a huge paper weight at the moment.
Make it so you can turn them into a cool boat or something, maybe some gucci armor.

Oh- Maybe have the whale skull turn into an temporary bonfire variant that's a consumable. You place down, fill with wood- and it adds a small buff on top of to lighters cha buff- burns until it goes out and you can rake the end result for bone ash.

Or a better solution to the problem: make whales go extinct if people hunt them too much, so then there won't be this skull problem.
