for the purpose of wrecking a claim that you actually have vandal permissions on, or ownership of -

would it be so hard to be prompted with a tile selection guide upon using the ball?

like a quick survey where you can choose anywhere between say 1 and 7 tiles, and the soak or total destruction occurs in this situation according to what you choose

maybe the max length of the selection could even be relative to the str of the user

you should design your walls so that you do not have to worry about cascading, and this way you wouldn't need to have terrible ideas like tearing walls being (purely for the sake of redesigning own base) less efficient, even if you were about to make a hole that leads to something you want safe - you could have made a temporary palisade outside in that place to cover the hole(and wait for it to dry if you really need that) for the duration of the redesign(it's just a few pieces of leather and other basic resources, those requirements are multiple times lower than the ones you'd have to deal with in the opposite case)

but there is a much better and simple idea just so those not so sharp can be fine

allow us to set whether it should cascade or not

how about making adjacent walls part to destroyed one lose soak? so you can handbash them one by one after WB use?

I had this idea viewtopic.php?f=48&t=69149 that nobody seemed excited for.

Basically wrecking ball would never cause cascade, but it could be nudged 1 tile left or right with no/minimal cooldown. (This needs to be something that can't be done as a crime.)

I initially suggested a static 1-hour in-game time cooldown (roughly 20 real minutes) but it could start with zero minutes and raise on every consecutive nudge.

Basic Claim Safety (And what you’re doing wrong) (I recommend you read it in it's entirety, but TL:;DR: Build a Palisade.)

Combat Guide (Overview, PVE, PVP) (Tells you how to try and escape, and make it less likely to die when caught.)
