This way people could choose in what type of climate they want to live in. I mean, rain is already a local phenomenon, why not snow too. Just in a more permanent basis.
This could also give the option to some people willing to travel far from their base for some seasonal foragables.
Nah man, would only work if every player spawns immediately in the center of the map where the seasons are balanced. Would hate to be a new player spawning in the south or north and not being able to farm early game or forage some of the more useful things for a whole month irl. Everyone would cram themselves near the spawn area and new players would never have a chance
