Ever been outside during the warm months?
Lots and lots of tree hay, etc. pollen!

Trees could have occasional graphical effects of pollen falling from them during the right seasons.

Hearthlings should also be exposed to some allergic reaction during these seasons.
This wound could give debuff to FEP gain from foods, as you would have impaired taste.
Actual effect wouldn't have to be too severe, the main point being the added immersion, as you feel the seasons change and have all kinds of effects on your daily life.

Of course you would only get this wound when outside, so in caves/houses you'd not have to worry.
Could be just a few days out of spring or such when this happens.

Indeed, trauma tab haven't seen updates for some time. We need fresh ways to suffer.

I'm not sure that hearthlings should suffer allergic reactions that often.
This is problem of modern people, when their immunity systems lacks contacts with environment, viruses, bacteria, etc., so it causes such immunity bugs like allergic reactions.

Better idea. Dust allergy.
For Hearthling that stay indoors to much. ... O yea, caves include of course.
Compounded by potential agility and strength drops due to fatigue issues.

Combat with broom, bucket, water and ...

Goddammit did you also give them the idea to add midges?

Imagine getting KO'd by a boar early world and getting up only to be immediately KO'd because you had the audacity to be near a tree.

Also would penalize everyone but bigger groups who can afford to feed separate pvp and hunter alts. Keep the Pvp indoors until needed so to not suffer FEP penalties, send the hutner out for PvE resource gathering.

Well as I mentioned in the OP, it doesn't have to be too severe drawback. Just some additional spice to the game!

I mean, I'll bite, if we want some additional spice to the game why not some additional art effects on trees or grass to represent pollen, not everyone has an allergy to pollen, in fact most people don't, so I'm not really sure why this would need to add some debuff/wound for pollen unless it's something so inconsequential like -5 perception from watery eyes, that it doesn't really matter

Losing hhp very bad, meaningless wounds are a terrible idea.
