Winter warmth mechanics

Hearthlings will be required to stay warm during the winter by either staying inside or near warmth sources like fires, drinking and eating and wearing certain things will make the coldness gauge fill up slower, when it reaches a certain point hearthling will start taking frostbite damage.
Since it's too cold outside, doing certain things such as drying hides and using tanning tubs shouldn't be possible.

Forstbite and coldness are often requested features.

I agree that there are inconsistencies with how winter affects thing such as liquids in barrels etc.

I'm really disappointed with not-so-recent changes in winter season (hey, whiners!), having it for 5 days means just nothing and it actually brings nothing except snowflakes and a way to understand the base is abandoned if the crops are fallowed.
Anyway, would be cool to have more challenges in cold seasons. I support, as if it would mean anythings.
Sköldpaddan, gurbibal master, drunken hunter, the thief of Constantinopol, he who never died of man`s hand, son of Severin, grandson of Yozz, Yozzik, Wengdalf. Also an owl.

P.S. More nice hats please!

That's what happens when you have 10 days of 0 extra content, 15 disabled things from the other seasons and terrible snow/snowing patterns. People complain about it being shit for 1 year and kindly ask to make it shorter.

Problem is not that there wouldn't be things to do during winter.
Of course there are many things to do in game that do not involve farming or foraging.
For example, crafting, baking, mining, hunting, logging etc. etc. Winter chores.

The problem is that seasons do not have enough "difference" in them. Like in winter we get snow and that's about it. Adding some more season-specific mechanics would add more depth.

It's funny. could you make winter in the north and south, and summer at the equator? Then change the seasons.

Then every village who is taking the game seriously needs to have multiple bases, so they always have a base in a place where crops and trees still grow and then move seeds between them. I'm not even particularly against it, but since the game already has so much tedium, I don't know if it's a good idea to add additional requirements like this.

Same for warmth mechanics - adding more annoyances will not make the game better. However, if it's balanced in the sense that there are buffs/advantages to being warm in additional to disadvantages to being cold, then yes, it would be a fine mechanic.

Way back when in the wayback machine, this used to be how it worked. Villages/factions had a central base, and at least one or two other activities were move to satellite loations--mining and hunting being the two that come to mind immediately--due to world mechanics. It's a good thing, too, I think.

we need more wounds to broke alchemy table again
we need more bars to watch and dont press only drink button all time and eat every 30min
anw not bad idea
players should suffer its called gameplay (more grind with tedium = more fun)
