More small rodents

Hamsters, mice, voles, lemmings.
Why don't we have them? They are very very important animals in nature.
Foxes, lynxes, snakes etc. eat them all the time.
Same should happen in the hearthlands.

Would provide some small meats for hearthlings too of course.

I'd prefer QoL over more animals, especially not terrible useful late game ones. I never look at squirrels anymore. Maybe classify a new "rodent meat" item that includes rats, squrriels, rabbits, and anything new added by this thread with new unique recipes. Not really interested in new critters if new uses aren't added at the same time.
Boofing and gumping it all damn day. Shoutout to my homeboy Moloch

I, for one, am against cluttering up every single tile on the minimap with infinite useless bullshit animals/foragables, like in Salem. The spawn rate/amount of stuff made it borderline unusable. (This is from sometime after the tribe Literally Took Over The Game.)

Might make sense in the context of different biomes having meaningfully distinct fauna, but that concept comes with its own set of problems. (Reference people bitching about exclusivity of chives, strawberries, etc.)

I thought about that but come into conclusion that it should not be a problem.
Its only better if the game has for example forests that really look like forests with all the animals and plants, instead of being something simplified with nothing in them.
These animals wouldn't do any harm to you, even if you didn't care about them, so I don't see why you would be against them.
You can disable icons for them anyway, if you don't want to be notified of every single thing on the minimap.
