Clumsy hearthlings: fireplaces

Sometimes when you light a fireplace or cook in it, you should get burns from the fire ( a wound ).
Survival/dex could decrease the chance.

You can already get wounds from bees, spinning wheels, so it would be consistent to get wounds sometimes from fire related activities too.

Fire has existed in this game since the very beginning, so by suggesting this you are basically saying you think jorb is stupid.
If he wanted fire wounds to exist he would have added them by now, I'm sure of it.

It could stand to reason that hearthlings are so spiritually tied to fire that they are atleast partially immune to it. We literally teleport using magical fire, we step on to a fire to enter the world. We light fires to create village idols and gain feasting bonuses from the gods around fires. There multiple experience events tied to the lighting and carrying of fire. The game's lore itself dictates that hearthlings have agency over fire and a very respectful and intelligent relationship with it. It's like you didn't spend a single moment considering these points.

there's such a wide variety of wounds in-game already, why not fire as well? Makes sense to me.

There are many ideas that are difficult to come up with. This being one of them.

Jorb is not stupid. He is just stubborn and philosophical so it seems like he is!

Just because you can't light a fire without burning yourself doesn't mean we all share your handicap
