Nerf fast travelling

It's way too easy and accessible to travel long distances, there's no point in having such a large map, oceans and continents if you can just instantly teleport across the map even with mid tier alt accounts.

Yeah I agree.
I think making knarrs unable to use trails or otherwise jump over land (if its still a thing, dumb thing indeed). Increasing trail cooldown penalty. Would work well.
Also making river systems less interconnected. Rivers should be more "realistic" in my opinion. Rivers flowing from upstream to downstream, to some lakes and eventually the ocean. Many completely separate riversystems.

Kicksleds and horses would also need a plenty of nerf. For short distances they should work, but not for longer.

Removing ability to HF would probably be one of the best options, but not sure about removing it completely, its always nice to be able to return to your home.
One option could be to harshen the criminal buff so you'd not be able to hearth (or use charter stones) in a day or two, which would make it a bit less easy to just teleport all around and kick asses of all sprucecaps in the whole world at once.

To compensate for all this, optional locality of people should be increased.
Realms should be able to select 1 charter stone for their realm, which would be visible in the spawning room. People could choose on which kingdoms area/near charter they want to spawn, if they want to.

Overall, ability of realms to expand into multiple continents, should be completely removed. Ability to expand should be limited harshly, so realms would be smaller, and people would live closer to their realms for benefit, and realms would be more friendly to their neighbors, because they would really need their neighbors for buffs etc. They would also have more will to defend them. Each realm would have its own market etc.

Exclaves of realms should not be possible at all. If there is an exclave it should be immediately destroyed.

Aim would be to have multiple realms, with population clusters and tightly knit communities around them, then less populated land between them (with maybe few voluntary hermits).
Yeah it would need all kinds of changes to work but that something that should be aimed for still, I think.

>very soon after, long winded and well-thought out explanation that makes the OP redundant; one could almost say it was planned before OP was posted

What, you think not being the OP makes these dogshit suggestions any less dogshit?

I agree with Shubla.

By week 1 most factions have a way to teleport around the world.
By week 3 they have a well spot they teleport from one point of the world to the other with a alt.
and by the 3rd month people are just jumping around the world like what the fk is even travel, why do we even need to leave our walls to get to a market?

Are you playing the same game?

I was making trades with big faction people a few months in to the game (the people you suggest can teleport around the world after 1 week)

and ended up having to delay for days and wait for hours many times because whirlpools shifted

This is an obvious troll thread, just as many of the recent "please nerf X" threads are.

I don't like what op wrote

This is a troll thread

The op is clearly an alt of someone I dislike

Using alts is bad despite this being a alt of someone who is evading curfew

I type like an absolute clown and love derailing other people's threads

I'm very much playing the same game.
Whirlpools change was very rare and easily tracked, any noob with a brain could figure out how to track it.
Trading is very different then teleporting around on the first week, and the fact you didn't use a market disturbs me.

The people who were teleporting around were using rocks to teleport to high Q well spots and clay spots during the first week.
Most of those spots were useless to trade at because faction's didn't want the cords to get out.

After the 3rd week most mountain strongholds, and a few other places were setup. the only problem was the lack of crystals.
and the 3rd month the first 2 markets were open and people just needed to visit them to teleport to them.

If you honestly don't know how any of that works, then consider yourself luck.

Also using an example of whirlpools, but not understanding how they worked and could easily be mapped out with alts/bots.... is kinda funny.
It just shows your knowledge of exploits and factions level inworking to be; not there.

shubla on the other hand has the foresight of a god, and his will is divine and will bring about the best changes to haven.
