When I spawn new characters they almost always seem to spawn in close proximity to the hearth fire of another already generated character. When I say close proximity, I mean something like two rivers away. I understand that characters all gen on the central continent, but there appears to be some coding surrounding the generation of new characters which makes it really simple for them to find and head for the base of other characters generated by that account.
I don't understand the logic or purpose of this - if you want your alt to be in the same area as your earlier characters, it is already quite possible to do so by creating a wilderness beacon. If I gen a new character without making a beacon it's likely to be because I am bored with the territory the earlier character is in and I want to try some fresh exploring.
