Supply Dump

How about a Stronghold-esque supply dump that is linked to autofil and auto-take from production buildings (provided it has sufficient raw resources present).

Filling smelters, crucibles, food troughs etc is no fun and is heavily botted so why not just remove the requirement ?

The supply dump itself could function as a container with a building size footprint and generic image of piles of stuff, with resources deposited, displayed and drawn out similar to a granary. I fancy much of the required code for interacting with the production buildings would be copy and paste from barter stands.

I think there's a limit to how "efficient and hands off" the game can be before it starts breaking immersion with the world. This one's past it imo.

Wheelbarrows and piles make it fine, and people will *always* bot volume in this game.

I think Brownies could be cool. They would "do stuff" while you are offline if you leave them offerings and maybe you would only rarely see one.

If we're doing something like this, I'd much prefer that implementation for sure.

Matter of opinion on the immersion thing, personally I don't like the immersion factor of chores, but I get it that some people may enjoy that. I don't think it needs to be true that people will always bot in the game, they will certainly always bot when there is a clear incentive to do so, I think the main thing this games needs right now is removing that incentive.

I also like the brownies idea although that would I guess be more complicated to implement.
