Add inspection to harvestable crops to check quality

Postby xTrainx » Mon Apr 26, 2021 1:23 am

So if I understand correctly, the time a crop spend in the last stage is reduced from the next cycle of the crop, so when i went to plant the seeds 6 hours apart to have 3 shots at the +5 I was going to only harvest at the same time I was gonna sow, hoping it would mean i would have the 3 parts be ready at the same time, but then I realized: if I don't harvest them i won't know which one of the 3 got the highest quality so I won't need which part to harvest first, so it would be neat if we can inspect crops to check the quality and know which crop to reap first

Tldr: add crop inspection to harvestable crops to know the quality so we can take advantage of the time accumulation mechanic on crops

Crop q increasingmechanics are in general a bit dumb and using a bot helps a lot with them.
I think you could inspect crops some time before but devs deleted it for some reason.

This would make optimal crop increasing kinda aids with needing to plant in every crop window checking for optimal planting times...

The optimal strategy would be to plant 1, check the quality change, and if not optimal wait to plant again.

That sounds tortuous as the "optimal" mechanic for a system.

Ah, thats the reason why it should only be for plants that can be harvested, and not the ones you just sowed

Ok this actually got added, neat, but do you still get the time off from letting crops sit? Returning from a while ago

As far as I'm aware, yes.
