Just make roasted meat 1% hunger. It's bummer that you're supposed to never eat it, and it's trap for newbies. Meat should only satiate very fast, and give only few hunger points.

I kind of agree, but there's a way to get better FEPs out of animals, spitroasting. (Admittedly, that does emphasize the "trap for newbies" -part.)

At least buff the energy gain of roasted meat, 62.5 energy for percentage of hunger is abysmal.
