Farmer credo plant and harvest

Postby shubla » Mon May 03, 2021 5:21 am

The amounts are just too rough, plant 105 grapes? what?

Why not just like 5-10 max? Would still be fun and require you to do some farming but not make 1000x1000 field extensions to get the massive amounts of seeds needed.

The last time I read it the quest was about being FARMER not a COMBINE HARVESTER!

Easy fix:
lower them

Probably wont happen because devs have serious handicap of refusing to do any minor tweaks to their mechanics after they implement them. Only replace with completely new mechanic or some major rework after 2 years of people complaining.

agree completely, the numbers just dont work. these hard asks can only be accomplished by large villages, hermits are boned completely.
larger amounts could be asked for faster, more common crops like carrot/turnip/beet. i'd say max 50.
for slow growers, flax, hemp, pipeweed, 15-20 max.
for trellis nightmare, 6 tops.

Harvest cucumbers x60

Yes I have them, but not fucking 60 of them!

Such an easy fix!

I dunno, between eating a single lettuce leaf and harvesting 60 cucumbers, I think the cucumber one might be a tad bit easier.

Who could really even stomach a lettuce leaf right?

Some of biggest i got was to plant 110 pumpkins, plant 185 hemp, plant 80 peppercorn. At world start thats quiet impossible. Meanwhile higher tier credos like gardener or tailor you can finish in 2-3 days....

On one side I agree it's very annoying to do those quests. On the other, lowering the number to <10 it means it's pretty much a free credo that you can do in one afternoon.
They could lower it from like 60 to 40, but then everyone would be complaining about 40...

In general, I find farming pretty easy already, and if you build a little bit of a community in your area all the farmers can help each others with it.

Also later on you can do the whole farmer credo in 1 day, by preparing large fields ahead of time...

Trellis crops should probably be toned down specifically, maybe pumpkins too. The issue is the game treats all plant types as equal, and they really aren't in this regards.

Yeah, just adjusting specific crops. I can get behind planting 100 onions, not so much harvest 100 peppercorn.

Just keeping the maximum at 50 for any crop would be good.
