Smoker trim based off block not board

Trying to get a nice trim (edges/door) on smokers is a real pain in the butt because it's board counting. Blocks though only control the colour of the door knob which can be almost aesthetically ignored due to how small it is.

Could we flip flop the secondary board colour to be controlled by blocks instead? It'd make creating tolerably nice smokers from quality wood a lot less of a pain in the butt.
