Swans are assholes. They should be aggressive tbh.

This could be reasonable if there was system where animals would give some warning sign before aggroing, some gesture that says "hey get out of here, you jerk, or I'm going to attack you."

Oh I quite like this idea. They could add a third combat state/stance for animals, not just aggro/peace. It could be a challenge state, during which they face towards you & maybe prep combat skills. Depending on the creature, your choice to stay still, run, or walk away could trigger/not trigger actual combat. Going closer probably initiates combat in general, though I could see a case for some animals getting scared.

Could be fun for some things, and would add another level of interaction to the environment.
