Cook credo should be fixed.

It have a lot of issues right now. Baked and smoked goods don't get "well prepared" buff after they leave the oven/smoke shed, some foods and food ingridients (most noticeble sausages and butter) dont get cooking speed bonus from first part of the credo, altrough being the most time-consuming. +15 const isn't very useful for cook since it have no influence on cooking whatsoever altrough extra con is always welcomed, but cook is probably not a combat character either. +30 cooking is good, but not that big as stat bonuses on forager for example since you make this credo on a rather advanced character and even +30 to skill dosn't feel like a huge boost at this point.

2 of 5 credo bonuses are good but incredible inconsistent and another 2 is underwhelmingly plain and not so useful. Whole credo have only 1 really good bonus at lvl5 and i think its not alright.

Agreed. I would like to take advantage of the speed buff and double output but the rest of the bonuses are underwhelming. Knowing that some of them are inconsistent has been making me avoid the credo.
Some suggestions for changes (apart from fixing speed and double bonus):
  • Buff the satiation reduction. 10% maybe?
  • Remove the Con bonus.
  • Buff Cooking Bonus to +50.
Other possible things to make it better:
  • Add a bonus that makes Polish the Silverware much cheaper.
  • Add a few unique recipes only craftable by cooks. (Something like "Sautéed Meat" which is just Roasted Meat but it lets them take advantage of Frying Pan Q.)
  • Add a bonus that halves the water usage of cauldron recipes.
  • A bonus for spitroasted animals. Maybe allow Cooks to season them or buff the stats when carved.

The reason for those foods not receiving those buffs is due to a bug from a previous world, this is the fix for that bug, they would have to solve the bug another way for it to get buffs from those other things you mentioned

I disagree that cook is underpowered. Changing some of the minor things around is one thing, but I really don't think they should be significantly better than they are.

-1 i staunchly disagree that any credo should have recipes roadblocked behind them because then they become necessary to play the game if those recipes are better than ones that already exist and if they are worse there is no point.
