My personal theory is that all waterbirds are actually inflatable. When you poke them with spear, they deflate and sink.

i´d personally miss the chuckle every time i fish an unplucked swan out of the water, and even plucked swans are an boon when baitfishing, basically its bait and hooks in an nice bundle, like an free reroll.
