tldr Can we have local quality upgrade rewards given by Quest Givers affect whole Province they are residing at?
Okay, so now we have some game mechanics that are overlapped quite nice in theory (Quest Givers/Provinces/Realms) and could solve some game problems mentioned in C&I many times:
- Quest Givers can be destroyed thus all the quality upgrade progress given by them is lost
- Some quality upgrades are useless at given Quest Giver location cause there is small/none territory with upgraded forgeables
- Foraging is loosing its overall value at some point
- There is no much reasons for Realms to expand globally and not just to cover certain provinces with Irminsuls/Monoliths or block another Realm expansion
Proposed solution here is:
Transfer the "Increase local quality" reward to be "stored" not in the Quest Giver itself but in the Thingwall of the Province the Quest Giver is located in. So when Quest Giver is destroyed the effect would last and affect whole Province.
Such buffs could be displayed in the interface of given Thingwall, making it easier to know what forageables are best locally.
And we could go even farther:
If the Province within a Realm gets certain level of quality increase 20/50/100/you name it - whole Realm the Province belonging to gets a point of upgrade to its resources (displayed at Realm buff icon ofc). This creates additional point of interest for Realms to have a conflict over, plus gives the world a way to progress with time.
Whole mechanic could be fine tuned easily by chances of "Increase local quality" quest reward and by the amount of upgrades needed to transfer the buff to Realm level.
