Give us a spell that you automatically get when you learn Rite and Magic, which for 250 XP allows you to strike a swarm of midges down, or repel them so that i don't have to deal with these fucking midges.

An alternative would be a recipe (possibly alchemy) for insect repellent. A bottle would contain several applications, each good for two hours, during which midges would not attack (similar programming to the bat cape).

I was mistaken you are a pure demon, how could you think to weaponize such a great evil?

What we really need is like an alchemist potion where you can mix all the herbs in the swamp, and then it applies a special wound to your account that blocks and ignores people who complain about midges.
