Remove pepper completely, or fix

I cant think of a single mechanic that benefits the big boys with bots ever more.

Rather remove it or make it so it count as kilograms and not as single pieces.

They aren't going to fix or alleviate this problem btw.

Your only choice is to start your own pepper bot farm factory.

There are quite many things in this game which you can bot and gain huge benefits.

But pepper is one of the few things in which you cannot feasibly gain worthwhile benefits without botting.

The real problem is loftar standing against removal of trellis hitbox. Watch the last devstream.
Having a field that can be farmed like any other would fix this completely for the botless players.

You still need to grow two trellises' worth of crops, boil the results, dry them on a herbalist table for 37 hours, then grind the result to get a buff to one food item. Then, multiply that by the number of food items you eat during the time it takes for Peppercorn to grow and account for the bazillion Trellises and Herbalist Tables you'd need to build (plus the space you need to prepare for that) to facilitate the whole thing.

I know that as a non-botter I'm not going through all that hassle even if it gave extreme FEPs, as it's still limited to +1 stat (or, for some foods, +2 stats) per cycle.

You can definitely farm them in rows. And for the bulk of pepper required, making rows one inventory full is feasible. Do ~5 trellis per tile, and each pass fills your inventory. The bulk required to satiate your wants is the silly part.

Im aware how trellis farming works.
Any non trellis crop you just drag over and let it be fully harvested in the background.
The frequent input required makes it a lot worse for the non botters.
Perhaps you personally don't have enough pepper crops so it doesn't bother you.
The other processes could of course also be improved.
