I reported this over two years ago:

You don't get "Here be dragons!" if you collide with world border while on horseback. This has potential of leaving player confused, or at least not immediately figuring out that they hit the border.

Would like to fix, but hard to fix. Made a note.

Based on last message of the linked thread and this OP, this applies to everything you can ride (horses, boats, ships, sled.)

By the way it would be nice fixing the interaction between world borders and wheelbarrows, you can easily push it trough the border and it will be stuck forever. The fact that borders aren't marked in any way makes it extra spicy.
