Idea: Scent: Frivolous Foragery

New non-criminal-activity Scent:
Frivolous Foragery (FF in short)

Whenever a nature spawned boon has been foraged by Hearthling's swift hand or anthill/beehive been put into raided state, a scent of Frivolous Foragery is produced.

  • Frivolous Foragery scent can be used to track Hearthling or its Hearthfire.
  • Frivolous Foragery scent has duration of 3 ingame days.
  • Frivolous Foragery scent can not be used to summon offline Hearthling or to craft a Nidbane Fetter.
Goals:
-----------------------
  • Sweat-producing activity should leave a remembrance, at least short-lived.
  • Discourage hearthlings from having scent tracking on at all time.
  • Decrease the percentage of heinous scents among total amount of scents generated.
  • Has our swamp's forage pool been cursed by presence of evil witch settling by? Grab torches, men!
  • These footprints left by mushroom gathering hedgehog are of uncommon size and even resemble human footprints! Can we tame this useful creature, where can we find it's burrow?

Why? Foraging is already pretty pointless, no need to punish it further by adding scents.
This would only make sense if forageables were rare and limited and you therefore needed to hunt down people in the neighborhood who are stealing "your" forageables. But we are very far away from that.

All of these ideas suck hard enough to not even be worth talking about, and I think it's on purpose.

Well maybe if the chance for scent creation will be small, or even will depend on foragers stats (perception, exploration, survival), and also will last only 2-8 hours, then it will be a good mechanic.
Otherwise it is just a way for aggressive players to find victims for raid or gank, so sprucaps will avoid foraging just to seat in their walls and never get out.
