Since the scythe buff does a huge area. It would be nice to have a smaller tool ie: sickle which acts like the old scythe, a single tile but with the reduced stamina loss of using a tool.

Could even use soft metal to give a better sink for lead etc early world

Why would you ever not want the aoe harvest

Primarily in early world when playing in a large group and everybody is doing farmer credo at the same time so as to only harvest what you need.

Also using soft metal it adds a nice middle step for early world progression if it has a buff to stamina drain from empty handed farming.

But also if you have overlapping fields from people being messy and you just want to do one crop type instead of absolutely everything

use your hands then
or just accept you're going to over-harvest by like 3 crops, and just suck it up and plant more

p.s., you don't harvest multiple types of crops with the area harvest.
