But going back to the topic: Meats and most foragables have little value because it is easy to get them. You stock your basements and it sits till the end of the world (almost). Thus their value is low. Having meats that perish would stimulate trade. Many new players have nothing to offer. But being able to procure some animals and even other foragable items that perish would bring them back to trading table. I think the gap disconnecting player tiers based on development is literally there and It could be reduced by allowing players to trade their effort/time for quality (game progression).
Like there so much complain about “tedium” . But please don’t forget that the result will be a double edge sword, because the same tedium was able many low tier players to offer for trade.
