Grass Planting

Grass planting should be updated to work like crop planting with an area of effect. Maybe so should paving.

I designated an area for grass planting and paving, how is that different from crop planting? Besides its automated speed being a little slower

Try planting crops using area planting, it plants multiple tiles simultaneously. I'm suggesting being able to pave/plant grass on 3-4 tiles per action instead of one by one.

Maybe, but in other hand you only have to pave and plant grass once, is it a good thing if you can build your village in 3 days instead of 5?

I get what you're saying, the thought that prompted creating this thread was more about ease of redesigning existing spaces. I wonder, personally, if the average sprucecap might not be a bit more actively creative in their paving aesthetics if the processes that allow for some level of creativity were less tedious.

I like this. make the paving use a shovel or something if they feel compelled to tie AoE effects like that to a tool

I think they could achieve the same effect by removing the delay from the paving step, right? That would require less coding.

theyve already got the code written for the AOE for both removing gobs and applying them from the farming updates, im sure itd be an easy copy-paste job with a bit of details being swapped out

isn't it better to have things already done than having to do them?

there are still a lot of things to do in this time-consuming game

perhaps this change wouldn't change much, but it's still something
