I think devs should release periodically a statement about date such that world reset is guaranteed not to happen before that date, then players could start playing late in the world without fear of the world ending in 2 weeks.

What if devs were to do opposite and make announcement that, for example, they will NOT reset within the next three months.

Would you be more likely to play, possibly aiming to do a certain thing/project in that time?

For me, definitely. The reset that's probably coming up soon is the #1 thing keeping me from playing right now.

Lol @ 200 players. +1 the devs can do qol while they delay bigger implimentations. Make guarentees every 3 months. Of the active players I wonder how many are just doing chores.

Devs can always reserve the right to just not give guarentees

Note that it's just the #1 thing when a reset seems to be impending. There are more factors that keep me from playing, including notably the world not being reset. A few weeks back I actually created a new character and played for a bit, but soon found that the progression from my scavenging simply eclipsed my progression from normal gameplay and I quit again within a day. If devs tomorrow make the announcement that the world reset will not occur within three months, I still won't play right now.
