Just looking for opinions here, I don't know if such a system would easily be abused or if big realm villages would appreciate it and genuinely use it for what it is.
Concept - realm buffs get changed to have both a negative and a positive and adhere to a theme similar to legacy sliders
Example - Crop growth increased 10% / Grievous damage reduced 10%
alternatively - Grievous damage increased 10% / Crop growth decreased 10%
The idea would aim to potentially split up the mega realm villages and potentially force their industry and fighters to split up, or attempt to find a balance?
Realms that aim to keep markets or that would strive to be largely peaceful would likely aim to debuff PVP interactions and increase industry.
additional ideas -
Something similar to all the old sliders could be implemented in to this, maybe not in their exact form, but here is a link for people who maybe don't know what they are or can't remember
Old Personal Belief System
Maybe peaceful realm buffs could even increase object hitpoints, increase siege timers, and do all manners of reducing PVP type interactions
Also, maybe "Martial" realm buffs could increase their relative industries? Like crafted weapons and boat quality increases would be martial buffs?
Martial realms could also aim to mitigate other things that PVPers find annoying, or inconvenient, like maybe they could even blanket reduce cooldowns, remove or lessen redhanded, etc.
I assume this sort of system would force a lot of bigger villages to be moving shit around a lot more, moving people around, resources for crafting, and so on
Maybe that's too annoying but maybe it's also a fair price to pay to have a space that can be developed in a way that makes PVP more enjoyable??
On the flip side it would give noobies and carebears a space that would potentially offer more protection
Would people be in to this? Is it actually good for both fighters and peaceful farmers? Any thoughts?
