Hunters credo should allow players to inspect living animals

And from a safe distance too. Experienced hunters irl are perfectly able to do it and i don't know why its not the case in H&H. Hunters are the ones who tend to burn out quickly because grinding for top q animal is frustrating af.

I agree, would be good replacement for this marksmanship buff, which is rather useless

If I remember correctly animals were inspectable formerly without any requirements, but they changed it, correct me if I am wrong

now it could be made so they are inspectable, but have this credo requirement

the way it is right now is probably just a countermeasure to bots which requires more botting.

+1 to OP, but I think it's mostly trying to solve a problem that shouldn't exist. Animal quality variance has no business being so high

I agree, at very least animals Q should be normalized for entire node. Trying to find that prized moose that happened to spawned at exact center of the node is a pure madness.

+1 q scouting is annoying as hell, especially when you start considering mammoth nodes and the infrastructure that reliably farming them involves.

should be able to inspect a region for its average or highest/lowest qualities.
each day you should be able to just do a new roll for a new animal in that thingwall's province.
a lot of things can be divided up by these thingwall provinces.
all kinds of quality inspections for instance.

When this was suggested before, I raised the concern of people making animal inspect bots.

But going with "why do people feel like they need to bot this stuff" it's probably best summarized by this post:

One possible solution would be to increase base qualities across the board and limit maximum quality to being twice the base quality. Something along the lines of baseline q100 bears and maximum of q200 bears, with nodes for q200 bears reasonably common.

animal inspecting should absolutely return, even if every inspection is similar to pulling auroch hair and can lead to an agro

botting here is not an issue at all, there has been a solution for bots checking quality nodes for years now, suggested 100 times over

just make animal quality nodes drift, shuffle or completely reset every so often, it makes absolutely no sense that they are static and it's probably one of the dumbest things in this game
