even the wiki in all of its lack of information can tell you that mammoths spawn in many biomes, not just mountain!
this world we encountered literally TOO MANY MAMMOTHS TO KILL living amongst 1 or 2 of these biomes
they are very prevalent and due to their potential for high quality and the usefulness of their bones, I think they are appearing more than often enough!
a big -1 !!!

in these other biomes they are even more rare, which does not help the case

mammoths appear usually in mountains and very rarely on grasslands, sprucecaps often live in forests where mammoths do not spawn in grasslands where they are rare. This suggestion does not hurt sprucecaps I think!
also sprucecaps can build a mountain trap, get 30 ua and q30 bronze sword and a horse and slay the mammoths to progress in game!
