it doesn't justify my own suffering!

the stat gaps between people are too big anyway and they would be killed by bad people regardless

Yeah but we really need to keep in mind the newbies too.

I know some retards use the "think of the newbies" excuse just to hide their actual intent which will hurt the newbies, but I'm just saying.

Don't get me wrong, I would love this change, it would literally benefit us and hurt the other 90% of the playerbase lmao.

These are old legacy mechanics that do mesh well with the new game!

There have been many past suggestions for ways to integrate them back in to the game in some reasonable form!

I think you should put more thought in to your suggestion!

I believe that you should do a basic search in C&I before making future suggestions!!

Definitely not in the same way it worked in Legacy. Having to idle any new character for who knows how long just so you can 'really' start playing was arguably the most retarded mechanic in the game. In general, idling as progression is dumb. Perhaps an experience cost could be used instead of idle time, so that activity is the requirement for making belief changes? (Or perhaps some separate value which correlates to experience gain, like how claim presence correlates to LP gain if you have a Bond in your mentory?)

I agree. Things like this are no good! I think some steps should be done to counteract those bad forum behaviors, such as moderation!

At this point I stopped paying attention, mainly cause none of them affect me any more.

One of the most recent cases I can remember is probably crop circles. An absolutely dumb mechanic. However, some absolute units were saying it's a good change, cause "it will cap the big faction boys so we can catch up". Snail showed how that crap not only prevents the newbies to go past the crop caps, but big faction boys can literally just bot all of it.
It did the opposite, but some people were saying it "actually helps newbies".

It's just a random example, pretty straight forward. Many other things aren't that straight forward, and often times it's the sprucecaps that actually argue against changes that would help them, and argue in favour of things that will literally hurt them. In their cases, this happens when you don't have enough game knowledge, I know this cause I did this too, often times.

Here's a good example of an idiot shooting themselves in the foot:
