I have not been around and just started catching up on things and have been listening to the most recent dev talk that was for Christmas.
I just wanted to toss this out and see what people think.
What if HnH had a Karma mechanic, where if you attacked first and what is the karma of the player you are attacking(do they have good or bad karma).
With different levels of good/bad karma. And length it last until Neutral.
Also maybe visible things that show you what the player you interacting with is(showing there level of good or bad karma), maybe an aura or skull above them like RS.
This could spill out into all kinds of different things maybe there village has an aura or take more damage to walls and so on.
Just an idea.
Maybe having good karma lets you heal faster, regain stamina faster, if you die you get 5 percent more lp back, higher chance of finding pearls:).
Maybe bad levels are about how many times you do something but what it is like thieving. Was it a Knockout, was it a kill.
1st level of bad you become visible
2nd level of bad you loose a percent of stats not a lot but some.
3rd you become unable to hearth.
