Speed in combat

remove speed bonuses in combat.Catching bunnies and other small animals dont require to be in combat with those so you can just remove it when you participate in one.Now you can wear any shoes you want and dont have to do THAT credo. Will make escape harder though. What your thoughts?

You can wear any boots you want in combat, just use macro/bot to automatically change boots when you click a rabbit/ground tile. I''ve solved your problem

soo they simply lose aggro against you and now u have turbo speed nibbas able to catch up 24/7? maybe think more than 10 seconds before u come up with an idea.

how are you will be able to lose agro?Only chance escapee have is a chain of speed boosts while chaser have passive 1% bonus.Or you speak about clients with camera hanging on orbit being able to spot you few screens away so you can preemptively escape.Im not gonna address that because that is retarded

I once thought this was the easy solution too. Problem is explained in above posts.

I would support making following changes:

Forager Credo: instead of giving you speed, it causes small animals to have delayed reaction to you approaching them. In other words, you can get closer before they flee.

Bunny Slippers: instead of giving you speed, it causes rabbits to have delayed reaction to you approaching them. In other words, you can get closer before they flee.

People argue that two things above are fine and there is merit to this opinion: neither thing is hard to acquire and clicking small animals for speed boost mostly benefits the one being chased - the side casuals should find themselves on most of the time - but I still feel like this can't be properly communicated to people who'd benefit from it the most and remains just an another leverage for the established hardcore players to get ahead.

Also there is cheese factor in carrying rabbits and releasing them in hopes they run towards your target.

Your overestimation of client possibilities is cute, lemme explain why the boosts are good tho - the ideal scenario is the guy that is being chased finds 2-3 speed boosts in a row, yes, although there's many other possibilities with critter/bunny boost because the person that is escaping will be the first one to see (ideally) a bunny on the minimap and gain an advantage because of chasing it, cause the bunny escapes and you run away with the boost, while for the attacker the bunny might be off his minimap. This way the guy that is escaping can a) escape with just bunnies b) wait for help from others while escaping c) find speedboosts that give him even more advantage d) find a dugout on which he can swim away

You actually gain an advantage because of bunny slippers & forager credo, you just need to know how to use them. Also it adds more skill to combat.

only thing its add its everyone must do it and if its required to be done by everyone i dont see how its okay.Like i wrote at the start, yes, escapes become harder. But is this good or bad?You still can escape by boat as before

You have to admit though that it's pretty dumb that chasing bunnies is an essential combat skill. One of the most important things to train for hardened warriors...is how to chase bunnies. While wearing bunny slippers.

That just makes it worse.
