Logistics

Cost: 20000

"It is said: The village shall raise the children; who then shall raise the barn?"

With ever expanding dreams comes ever expanding needs. The time has come to put away childish things in favor of monumental projects. Logistics allows you to establish Stockyards and to construct Warehouses with which to store materials for larger expansion projects.

Requirements: Yeomanry, Wheelwrighting, Carpentry, Stoneworking

Stockyard Cairn: Constructing a Stockyard Cairn allows a hearthling to establish a bounding area, within which stockpiles may be placed. Stockyard Cairns are required to be placed within the boundry of a personal claim. While a Personal Claim has access to a Stockyard, any workstations and/or building projects found on the same claim, will have a checkbox in their user interface:

[_] Fetch from Stockyard

Workstations and building projects will thus automatically draw the required materials from the Stockyard as if the materials were on hand or stockpiled nearby.

Limit 1 per Personal Claim. Stockyard area must be paved. Stockyard must be built on and within the boundry of a Personal Claim.

Warehouse: A warehouse is a large logistical building, with which a hearthling may place stockpiles within, limited to 8 for a Small Warehouse, or 16 for a Large Warehouse. When entering a warehouse, you will see the allotted slots from which you may place your stockpiles. Stockpiles within a Warehouse have a maximum stack of 500 for a Small Warehouse, and 1000 for a Large Warehouse. Warehouses much like a Stockyard Cairn, must be built within the confines of a Personal Claim. Nothing may be constructed inside them, nor can you pave their tiles found inside. All workstations and/or building projects found within the same Personal Claim as the warehouse will have a checkbox in their user interface:

[_] Fetch from Warehouse

Workstations and Construction Projects will thus automatically draw the required materials from the Warehouse as if the materials were on hand or stockpiled nearby.

Limit 1 per Personal Claim. Warehouses must be built on and within the boundry of a Personal Claim.

Seems like a cool idea but the game already has trouble auto deciding ingredients in any recipe that has variable ingredients that fulfill more than one use.. (spices that double as leaves for example).

Sounds Great but unpropotionally hard to implement. But in case it IS realistic +1

This most likely won't be an issue in most cases, as most variable inputs involve hand crafting without a work station. I just keep repeatedly saying to myself whenever I'm crafting out of a stockpile in bulk mass or building something: gee I wish I just had a designated stockpile area like you see in Stronghold.

"Site your granary sire"
"Can't place that there m'lord!"
