l1 and 2 should be reduced more. no other early game building costs as much time and effort. good luck to any solo players collecting 50 candleberries until bee skeps are a reliable source. collecting wax from wild hives is even more demoralizing

I do notice that at this point I'm hitting a pretty big wall where a lot of tech is unavailable and everything else gets capped due to my lack of access to layer 2. Tons of things are locked behind hard metal, and the new animal product tool hardcap make it impossible to get a lot of stuff beyond q40 right now. I still have plenty of convenience work to do (roadbuilding, tunneling, etc) but in terms of tech and quality progression I'm currently stuck in the 'just harvest and replant crops' stage which is otherwise only reached at the very end.
